Christ Methodist Church of AuburnTony's Tidings Living the Resurrected Life Offered by Jesus In John 11:24-27, we encounter a profound exchange between Jesus and Martha that unveils the heart of our faith: Jesus as the resurrection and the life. When Martha expresses her belief that her brother Lazarus will rise again "in the resurrection on the last day," Jesus responds with a powerful declaration: "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." With these words, Jesus transforms our understanding of resurrection—not as a distant event but as a present reality. To live the resurrected life means to live in the hope and power of Christ’s victory over death now. It is not simply waiting for the afterlife but embracing the fullness of life Jesus offers here and now. This resurrected life is marked by freedom from the fear of death, an abundant joy rooted in eternal hope, and the deep assurance that no hardship, no loss, and no sorrow can separate us from the love of Christ. For us, the church, living the resurrected life means being a community that reflects this hope to the world. Our worship, service, and relationships should be marked by the vibrant truth that Jesus has overcome death. As we gather together, we encourage one another in this hope, standing as witnesses to the life Christ offers. In our everyday lives, living the resurrected life means making choices that reflect the priorities of the kingdom of God. It means forgiveness instead of bitterness, generosity instead of greed, compassion instead of indifference. We live with the assurance that we are part of God's unfolding redemptive story, called to bring resurrection life to those around us. As a church, this calls us to be a beacon of hope to our community, showing that because Jesus lives, we too live, with the courage to serve, grow, and share the good news with those around us. Just as Martha believed in Jesus’ words, we are invited to live boldly in the assurance that nothing, not even death, can separate us from the life Christ gives. Let us live the resurrected life by celebrating every moment as an opportunity for God’s renewing work in us and through us. In Christ, Pastor Tony |

If you are interested in collecting food, water, and other needed supplies, please have your church start collecting. Please note: Only collect the items currently needed on the list below that are needed, because we want to make sure these survivors get what is needed at this time and not waste truck space on items that they currently have more than enough of. Announcements
Gathering in the lobby for coffee, water and doughnut holes at 9:00. Please be in your seats by 9:25 for the announcements and prelude to begin. The service will start at 9:30am. ********************************************************************************** LOST AND FOUND We have accumulated several items from the gym at Lee-Scott following worship services. These items include umbrellas, a journal, and more. If you are missing any of these items, you make pick them up at the receptionist desk at Greystone during the week. *********************************************************************************** *We are still in the process of gathering names and street addresses of those in our congregation who do not receive our weekly Newsletter by email. We would like to begin mailing them a copy of our email. If you know of someone who would like the weekly Newsletter mailed to them, please let us know. Let's continue to make a habit to check the Connect Cart and tables as you enter the lobbies for worship each Sunday. In addition to hymnals, we have guest name tags as well as regular name tags for regular attendees who forgot theirs (Pastor Tony appreciates those as he learns everyone’s name). Also, there are "Our Daily Bread" devotional booklets, volunteer forms, worship kits for children (they can take home), offering envelopes, and Connect Cards (place in offering plate). Another suggestion is to give your worship bulletin to a friend and invite them to worship with us. *As you arrive at Lee-Scott on Sunday mornings, we encourage you to be aware of marked parking spaces in the back entrance and to make sure you park in a marked space. Please be aware that the trailer used to transport our equipment will be parked at the back entrance and does not need to be blocked so that it can be moved or it can be opened in the rear area. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter! We are so grateful for each and every one of you and for your commitment and faithfulness to serve our Savior, Jesus Christ. Please continue to pray, and pray some more for our body of believers as we move forward together and seek God’s guidance in the days to come. You are all so loved and appreciated! “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13
